When we met at the Cozzens St. house I was very impressed by the care you took in showing us the house, which was very different from the way most of the sellers’ agents have interacted with my wife and me in the past when we have looked for homes. The way we found the Via Posada home made us feel that this house was chosen for us. It fit our needs to a T. (We wanted a single level, modest home near the coast, with 3-4 bedrooms, a home office with a private entrance, nice kitchen, near UCSD and near a synagogue, which we would be able to rent out for a few years, and which we could afford. As you know, houses that fit all of these criteria are not in large supply. In fact, after looking at the MLS for a number of months before our trip to San Diego, I did not think we could afford to live near the coast, and that’s why we met you in University City.)
When you told us that the Via Posada home was a pocket listing and that the owners wanted to rent it after selling it gave me hope that we might have a chance to buy this home as there might be less competition for it. I thought that it would take a long time for me to get my finances in order to purchase a home, and in the hot San Diego Real Estate market I did not expect most sellers to be willing to give me the time I would require to pull together what was needed. Of course, we now know that even on the East Coast guidance was provided that made it possible to hopefully close on the house at the end of this week.
